Careers

Work that supports real production

FoilPress is based in Industria West, Johannesburg, and our team supports clients across City West, Gauteng and beyond. The work is hands-on and often changes from day to day, from fitting a press in Roodepoort to helping a packaging client in Midrand with pressure settings or foil matching. We look for people who take pride in getting the details right, even when the schedule is tight and the workshop is busy.

If you like practical work and you are comfortable around machinery, tools and production deadlines, you may fit in well here. We are a South African business with a strong service focus, so we value clear communication, punctuality and a calm approach when a machine needs attention before a shipment goes out.

Roles we hire for

We do not keep to one type of job only. Depending on the needs of the business, we may look for people with technical, sales, admin or support experience. Some roles are based in the workshop, while others involve visiting clients or handling enquiries by phone and email.

  • Technical and service support for press installation, servicing and repairs
  • Client-facing sales and product support for presses, foils and spares
  • Workshop and production support, including setup and quality checks
  • Operations and coordination roles that keep jobs moving on time
  • Training and after-sales support for operators and supervisors

What helps you succeed here

We work with card, packaging and foil finishing clients, so attention to detail matters. A small setting change can affect the final result, especially when a customer wants clean edges, even heat and repeatable output across a run. People who do well here usually like working methodically and can spot an issue before it becomes a bigger problem.

  • Good fault-finding and practical problem solving
  • Clear written and spoken English, plus confidence with clients
  • Comfort with workshop routines and safety standards
  • Willingness to learn about presses, dies, heaters and setup
  • Respect for deadlines, especially in production periods

Training, growth and support

We support learning on the job because good machine work is built through repetition, checking and guidance from experienced people. New team members are shown how we approach installation, pressure setup, die mounting, preventive servicing and other day-to-day tasks. If you are newer to the industry, a strong work ethic and a steady attitude count for a lot.

Our environment suits people who want to build skills over time rather than rush through the basics. There is room to grow into more responsibility if you show consistency, take feedback well and keep your standards high, even during load-shedding days or when a client needs a quick turnaround.

Send your CV by email

If you would like to join the FoilPress team, send your CV through our contact form. Please include a short note telling us what kind of work you are interested in, where you are based, and any experience you have with presses, maintenance, workshop tools, sales or client support. If you have relevant certificates or training, mention those too.

We review CVs as opportunities come up and keep them on file for suitable roles. If we think there is a match, our team will get in touch to discuss the next step. Make sure your contact details are current, and if you have a portfolio or list of machines you have worked on, include that as well.

Why people choose FoilPress

People often join us because they want real responsibility and direct contact with the work. Our team includes Sibusiso Mthembu, Anika van der Merwe, Kagiso Molefe, Lerato Ndlovu, Willem Coetzee and Nokuthula Dlamini, so there is a mix of technical, service and coordination experience across the business. That balance helps us support customers properly and keep standards consistent.

We serve clients in Industria West, Roodepoort, Randburg, Midrand, Sandton and Germiston, as well as customers nationwide. It means the work can be varied and at times fast paced, but it is always grounded in practical service and clear communication.
